We've established that the "found nothing" issue isn't unique to just any one of us. This app has always been wonky, and using it was always on borrowed time. It would ultimately "find nothing", I'd close it down and let it rest, and then open it back up again and enjoy 10 more minutes of erratic downloading before it went t!ts up again. I can push buttons very well. And I can speculate, just not quite as well. So, I press a lot of mystery buttons that I think might shake something loose in a good way, but with a limited understanding of the command prompts I'm making and registry entries I'm deleting, the odds of doing anything positive while mucking about in places I have no business being aren't great. Plausible, but I wouldn't put money on it. And if I did happen upon a fix of some kind, I almost certainly wouldn't recognize it as a fix or even as something good. Where there is no context, there is zero understanding. I've managed, within the last week, to somehow get the app to work AND download most of the songs I had queued. For about five minutes. And then it behaves as I described above, and the way I'm guessing it behaves for some of you guys. It suddenly won't find anything. At all. Now, however, giving it a rest doesn't do it. Right now it seems like there is no fix. I have no idea why or how I was able to get it working those few times, but like I said, I push buttons, so it's difficult to isolate a pattern to which I wasn't paying attention. I've tried creating rules specifically for the app in the Windows 10 firewall thingy, but to no avail, which wasn't shocking since I guessed on half of the things I did. Okay, three quarters of the things I did. I've modified, configured, reconfigured, deleted, resurrected, excised, grafted, yelled, pounded, passed the blame on everyone but myself, and nothing is working. Normally I wouldn't give a sh*t, but I have a horrible data plan with a horrible company that holds its customers hostage with its monopoly, and right now, because of social pressure, the company has thrown us a tiny bone and given everyone unlimited data until the middle of next month. So, I want to download six months worth of music in two weeks. I'm just nonplussed at the app's complete breakdown. And the inopportune timing. You can get a million hits for 'autistic manchild tightrope walks power line, does perfect half-gainer into above-ground pool the equivalent of three stories below', but there's nothing I can find about the problem this app is having.
Very quickly, here's what I do know. Messing around with special permissions doesn't do anything. I'm accepted as administrator, so that's not an issue either. Opening it as administrator might have worked one time, but I'm sure it was a coincidence and I haven't been able to reproduce the successful result by running the program as the dictator. Downloading the app and then erasing the app, and THEN redownloading the app, doesn't do anything. Even after every hint of it has been eradicated prior to redownloading it. That's all I know. It's unsolicited information that doesn't help anyone at all, but it's at least narrowing it down to a solution I'll never find without someone's help. If anybody has ideas or workarounds or whatever, I'd love to hear it all. My world won't implode if I can't download Dylan's 'Just Passin' Thru' Bootleg Series No. 15. It would, however, be a nice diversion from Netflix and HBO. Westworld confuses the f**k out of me. So, I'm actively soliciting input on fixing Mp3Jam. I'm giving someone out there an opportunity to be a hero. If we can't get this working, the terrorists win. And a lot of the Chinese too.

My Mp3jam looks normal. All the options and music selections are showing. But when I click on a song, the arrow starts swirling for a few seconds and then stops. It does this for every song I select and try to play or download! Don't know what to make of it.
