E-Chat is currently suspended untill further notice.
Due to the abuse on the website we have been forced (by extenal forces) to suspend our service.
In order to resume E-Chat we have to strengthen our security. Unfortunately this means forcing an email-verified registration, adding more administrators, moderators and such. The alternative is to shut the website down forever, and this is never going to happen.
This process might take several days or even weeks. Please check this page from time-to-time for updates on this issue.

We apologize for the further inconvenience, but because of the Abuse and Spam that we’ve received, we had no other choice but to suspend our services and use this opportunity to update E-chat such as email verification and more staff and administrators to look after the site. It is also possible that we may remove the ability on creating a guest account. This may take a lot of days and even weeks before you may be able to receive access again. We understand you also have friends to communicate to, so we’ll try to move as fast as we possibly can.

well the encouraging thing is there saying is it wont be closing down ever hopefully comes back stronger and stops all these silly crashes
